  • We need to know the best contact details for you in order to process your application. Please let us know which email we should use to contact you. We will also use this email address to send you updates and news regarding our funding.

  • Please give us the best number to contact you on during working hours

  • Your organisation may be either office or home based. Please give us the address you are most comfortable with, and at which you are most likely to receive any important documentation.

The appraisal panel brings together representatives of successful groups from our previous funding rounds. Without an independent panel such as this, we would be unable to continue to support groups like yours. The appraisal panel meets just four times a year, with each session taking approximately two hours. Full training is provided.

You will be able to make your nomination if your application is successful. We understand that in some circumstances it is impossible to attend and are happy to discuss this with you.

  • Please give us the name and email address of your chosen recycling contact. If it is you, please let us know.

Your accounts may be in the form of a profit and loss sheet (P&L), management accounts, or day to day budget management. We are interested in the costs involved in running your group on an income and expenditure basis.

If your annual income exceeds 100k, you are less likely to be funded. You will need to provide an additional explanation as to why you require funding from us. This may include restricted accounts or unexpected expenditure.

  • This is to verify your account status. If your funding application is successful, we will also use this to make grant payments via bank transfer. Please note, even if your account has not been used recently, or has no money in it, we will still need a statement. If you have affiliated accounts, such as a savings account, please include this as well.

  • Please select all that apply. This question is for our own information and has no bearing on your application.
  • There may be one or more than one location, please list them. If your project does not have a specific base, please let us know.
  • This is your chance to tell us about your project. Please include any information you think will help us to see how your project fits our criteria and deserves funding.

If you are doing specialist activities, please let us know how you will ensure the people doing the activities are aware and safe. Have you looked at what could go wrong and made plans to overcome this? Have you made weather contingency plans?

  • Who have you asked about your project? How do you know your project will meet needs in your community? What are your aims and objectives for the project and how will you know if you have met them?
These could include DBS checks, child protection and vulnerable person policies.

If you are working with children or vulnerable people you will need to have processes in place to ensure your workers are suitable and your users are protected.

  • Drop files here or

We don’t require individual documentation such as DBS forms, but we would like to see anything you may have which outlines how you intend to fulfill your responsibilities in this area
  • Is your projected targeted at a certain group e.g. deaf children; or is it open to everyone. For example a summer show would be open to anyone to take part in and attend. A club for carers of people with a certain disability would not. Be clear that if you say ‘anyone’ we will be looking at how realistic that is given your project description.
  • Your project must primarily benefit the people of Worthing. The number you give must be realistic. For example, if you are running an event perhaps you can research similar events that have taken place in the area, or discuss expected attendance with your chosen venue.
  • It is important to think about how you intend to monitor the effectiveness of your project as it is taking place. Have you set goals for the beginning, middle and end of your project? How will you know that you have met them?
  • How you are able to record and measure the effectiveness and success of your project will vary on what your project was for, when it took place, who the users are and how they are able to respond. We will expect to see your results so you will need to allow for the measurement and reporting process in your project plan.

Measurement could be a written survey, or you could hold a meeting to gather feedback. Children may be able to draw pictures of their favourite activity at an event, whilst
older people may prefer to talk to you individually or in small groups.
