At the start of October Worthing Community Chest went along to Field Place to the Green Dreams Festival, we were very pleased to award them with a cheque for £1500. The funds went towards venue hire and a purchasing a new gazebo.
The cheque was presented to Jerry Le Sueur from South Downs Leisure, by trustees Malcolm Brett and Tom Wye.
Jerry Le Sueur commented “what a pleasure it was to see so many people come together to support this new event” he added “Many thanks to Worthing Community Chest for their contribution to costs, it has helped immensely”.
This collaborative event was organised to promote community green space and local food projects, which are based in and around Worthing.
The atmosphere was relaxed, with lots of family entertainment on hand to add to the overall experience as well as the chance to try and buy locally grown & produced products.
Green Dreams was a hugely successful event and it is hoping to become an annual event.
