Underwater BSAC cheque presentation

Malcolm Brett, from Worthing Community Chest presented a cheque for £1,500 to Worthing BSAC underwater whilst trying Scuba Diving for the first time.

Local Scuba Diving Club, Worthing BSAC, offer ‘Try Dive Experiences’ and non-profit diver training to Worthing residents. Their aged buoyancy devices needed replacing to continue this programme and they applied to Worthing Community Chest for a grant to cover the cost of new equipment.

Charity trustee, Malcolm Brett, was the first to try out the new equipment and have a go at ‘Try Diving’. Whilst in the pool at Splashpoint he also presented Worthing BSAC with their cheque.

“It was great to have Malcolm along for a try dive, to experience the joy of diving first hand and see the funds provided by Worthing Community Chest put to use” said Darren McDonagh from Worthing BSAC “The new equipment we’ve purchased will allow us to continue with our try dives and diver training”
