Worthing Community Chest went along to the grand opening of Worthing Petanque Club’s new shelter. We were very pleased to support the club with a grant for £1,000. The club are based at West Worthing Club and are play three times a week.

The sun was shining on the day and the shelter wasn’t needed. Cllr Keith Sunderland cut the ribbon with Colin Sweeney from WWC and trustee Malcolm Brett from WCC in attendance.

After the shelter opening Bob Ainsworth, Chairman of the Petanque Club, showed us how to play the game. It was great fun and we are looking forward to playing again!
